I Wish I'd Thought of That

Guess who didn’t realize the vast majority of the Metalocalypse Special Features/Deleted Scenes are done up Easter egg style?

Time to pop in all those DVDs I just got done with…

…of the uncensored bits, anyway.  Kinda like with Samurai Champloo, the instrumental censor riffs actually kind of added to the mood of the show, so I will miss them a bit.  And I’ll try not to look too hard at anyone’s junk.

Oh God, when Season 4 comes out on DVD…

Jack-off Gate.

Looks like I’ll be watching Adventure Time on the flight home at the very least.  

Also Charles’ spirit animal would totally be a stag.  Which is a little too Harry Potter for my liking but damn does it work.  

It’s amazing how few of these season 1 episodes I’ve actually seen.  Or at least remember seeing.  

I think I saw something on the show’s Wild Mass Guessing page about Charles doing the Facebones voiceovers to relieve the stress of working with the boys.  It’s a funny idea, but hearing him practically screeching at the Klokateers during the codpiece episode makes it seem a lot more plausible.  

I wonder what kind of faces he’d make while recording, ‘cuz you know there’s no way you could pull that off while maintaining your composure.

Just spent 50-odd bucks on all 3 seasons (that are out) of Metalocalypse.  I’ve never felt so metal.

I am a bit concerned though.  The riffing over swears will be missed, but language doesn’t really phase me.  But removing the censors from all the nudity?  I wouldn’t mind so much if Murderface and Toki’s potential mate were left out.  

Time to be brave, my friends. :x

I know a lot of people are hearing Charles say “Come to daddy” when the Metal Masked Man shows up, but I keep hearing “Come, daddy.”  Maybe my sound’s too low?  Maybe one of us is hearing (or not hearing) things?  Or maybe it’s just intentionally indistinct to create a buzz.

The only thing I can recall Charles saying about his dad (and anything about his personal life, really) is that his dad had “strong hands.”  He did seem kind of remote talking about it, but at the time it appeared more to be part of the joke that he was failing miserably at soothing Skwisgar.  There’s little evidence for this theory beyond that fact that the Masked Man probably fits into an appropriate timeline to even be his dad, if his white hair and countless scars can be trusted anyway, but it’s not like we’ve seen anything to the contrary either.  More intrigue from what’s not even sold as a deep show!

I feel like I’ve already said this but I went on a bit of a Metalocalypse bender about a week ago and have yet to come off it.  It doesn’t help so many clips are available on Youtube, or that Charles is so dreeeeamy.  Definitely going to pick up the DVDs next time I see them.  

And for the record, I like Abigail and hope she uh…sticks around.  I’m going to call out the fangirls who dislike her simply because she’d be a canon obstacle between them and a cartoon character.  I think she’s smart, capable, and though probably not physically emotionally strong.  She’s a nice foil to the guys’ usual antics and lack of standards.

So I’ll post another dream story, from just this morning (was woken up and fell back asleep, usually makes for weird dreams).

Set n the Metalocalypse universe, after Salacia attacks the band and they’re underground being exposited at by Charles and the old guy.  This time though Toki is with them as is Abigail.

 After being told they’re part of some prophecy, they’re told that the only way for them to defeat the evil or be the heroes or something important is to go back to how they used to be.  Apparently this literally means a younger self as these younger clones show up and slice through this portrait of the band, which sort of removes their current bodies from use (sort of like Ichigo going to the Spirit World or something?  I don’t know, I never really watched Bleach) and put them into their younger selves.  And I’m talking quite a bit younger, younger even than when Dethklok was first formed.

Once in their younger bodies Charles gives them some more info before going into a sort of healing pod that seals up (in my dream-logic state, this was likely tied to the old guy talking about healing him, and was probably a recurring thing he had to do to stay alive).  The boys all run off into this maze-like tunnel system, chasing a sort of ethereal, tiny Dr. Rockzo.  They finally catch up to him but I think he gets into a fight with Magnus (who’s also suddenly down there) and tells them to continue on.  Rockzo and Magnus are both lying on the ground pretty beat up and along comes freaking Deadpool who gives them a sort of once-over, weighing if they’re good or bad or not before torching them, sort of Meet the Pyro style.  They both die.

Flipping back to the main room, the Revengencers have apparently infiltrated it and set up a freakish base of operations.  Abigail’s strapped to some sort of mecha-table and being horrifically raped while Charle’s pod has been stripped open except for most of his head.  He’s hooked up to some sort of porn-playing TV that’s also a Fleshlight-robot or something crazy.  The whole thing is overseen by the Man in the Metal Mask, though he doesn’t seem to be enjoying it, just business as usual I guess.  I think part of the point was for Charles to hear Abigail screaming but coupled with “positive” feedback, creating a sort of psychological nightmare.

At that point I woke up, though as usual I really wish I hadn’t as I’m always curious as to how these things are going to resolve themselves.  For all I know Deadpool (I’d just seen the Comic Con trailer) went back to the main room and saved them, and who knows what happened to the boys.  Sorry for all the “or somethings,” it’s just that you know how dreams are, pretty hard to pin details down.
